- Prepare 225 grams Self Raising flour
- Get 110 grams Butter
- Use 110 grams Sugar
- Prepare 225 grams Mixed Fruit
- You need 1 Egg
- Provide 5 tbsp Milk
- Take 1 tsp Mixed Spice (optional)
- Prepare 1 dash demerara sugar

- Rub the butter into the flour until it looks like fine breadcrumbs, add sugar and dried fruit and mixed spice, if using.
- Add egg and milk to make a soft dropping consistency.
