The ingredients needed to make Beef biriyani:
- Provide 1/2 kg Cleaned beef
- Get 2 cups Basmati rice (soaked)
- Prepare 2 cups Onion sliced
- Prepare 1 cup Chopped tomatoes
- Take 3 tablespoons Ginger garlic chilli paste
- Get 1 cup Yoghurt
- Provide 3 tablespoons Chilli powder
- Prepare 1 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
- You need 2 tablespoons Coriander powder
- Provide 3-4 table spoon Garam masala fleshly prepared
- Take 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- Prepare leaves some Coriander and mint
- Get as required Cashewnuts and raisins
- Use as required Ghee
- You need To Taste Salt
- Take 1/4 cup Carrot
Steps to make Beef biriyani:
- Take a pan and add 1/2 cup ghee to it. Chop onions into slices and fry them in the oil until medium dark brown. Do not over fry them. Then fry cashewnuts and raisins. Keep them aside
- In to a pan add ghee add sliced onion ginger garlic green chillipaste and saute. Add tomatoes saute till it become mashy add salt chilli powder turmeric powder garam masala powder saute till raw smell goes.add yoghurt and mix.add leaves to it.
- Marinate beef with chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder.garam masala salt lemon juice ginger garlic paste. Keet it for half an hour and pressure cook by adding 1/2 cup water, cook till done..
- If excess water is there keep on high flame and dry it.
- Add cooked beef into masala and mix well.
- Now take another pan for boiling rice and Biryani assemble. Add 10 to 12 cups of water to boil. Add cinnamon stick, star anise, bay leaf and whole cumin seeds carrots and salt to the water. Let the water boil. Add the rice to the boiling water. And let it cook until the rice are 3/4th done. Stain the rice with a strainer
- For biryani assembly, we will place a thin layer of rice at the bottom of the cooking pan. Now add your curry to the pan, Also add mint and fresh coriander leaves. Now add the rest of the rice on the top. Sprinkle food coloring on top(optional) 1/2 spoon ghee on top of the rice which will ensures your rice are not too sticky. Sprinkle some biriyani masala.fried onion cashews and raisins. Add 1/4 spoon biriyani esssence (optional).Close the pot tightly. Place a weight over the lid.
- Kept for 5 minutes on low flame.
