  1. You need 1 cucumber, sliced
  2. You need 3 fresh or fresh dried motherwort leaves
  3. Prepare 1 fresh hot pepper or garlic clove, chopped
  4. Provide 1/3 cup water
  5. You need 2/3 cup white vinegar (any vinegar will do)
  6. You need 1/2 tsp sea salt or pickling salt
  7. Take 1/4 cup brown sugar
